Felix “JR” Arellano came to Calvary Christian Center as a sophomore in high school in September of 1998 in hopes of finding an exciting church with a thriving youth ministry to get plugged in to. He knew after only one visit that this was the church home he was praying for and was going to get involved in.

JR quickly jumped in and started serving in any area possible; service set-up and tear-down, youth sound ministry, youth worship team, and Sidewalk Sunday School, to name a few. After graduating high school, JR started a two year internship with Reality Student Ministry focusing on Worship and Media ministries.

After completing the internship program in 2003, JR began to serve as the Junior High Director.  He launched the annual Junior High Lock-In and other annual Junior High only events and outreaches before assuming the role as interim youth pastor in 2005 during a transition in youth pastors.

JR joined the Calvary Christian Center staff in late September of 2006 as the Student Ministries Associate. As the Student Ministries Associate, JR oversees Reality 678 Junior High Ministry and Reality Kids.
